Who We AreDesignWorx is a nationwide Contract Furniture Specification and Design Company. We specialize in specification services, space planning, layout, and reconfiguration services for MillerKnoll systems and ancillary furniture. All of our designers are former Herman Miller and/or Knoll dealer designers, with an average experience level of over twenty years. We have designers located across the Continental United States. Our team of seasoned design professionals can help you with your healthcare, commercial, government, and education design projects. We can help you with any of your design needs from conceptual design to typical specifications and cross-checks. We do projects from one office to several thousand workstations with multiple floors and locations. DesignWorx BackgroundDesignWorx was founded by a former Herman Miller Certified Network Dealer principal, Larry Giancaterino. He operated his company for 30 years in 4 cities in Virginia. From this experience he saw the need for and realized the value and inherent efficiencies of contracting outsource designers to support his talented design staff. As a Herman Miller Certified Network Dealer principal, Larry experienced the problem of not having enough experienced designers when they were needed during peak times and sometimes having too many during slower times. Utilizing contract designers for specification work and bids allowed his company to meet critical deadlines and to grow by pursuing opportunities that they would otherwise have had to forego. In addition, he realized the benefit of paying contract designers on an as-needed project basis without having to carry the on-going overhead. From Larry’s viewpoint, DesignWorx is the logical answer to a serious challenge facing every MillerKnoll dealer today. |
